ベースコートのジェルがうまく固まらないときの原因は？
ジェルのベースコートを塗っても「うまく固まらない…」「なんだかペタペタする…」など、しっかり硬化されないことを不安に思っている人は多いのではないでしょうか。
このようにベースコートがうまく固まらないのは、塗り方や下準備に問題があることがほとんど。
具体的な原因は以下の通りです。
- 塗る前にジェルを混ぜていない
- 塗る量が多すぎる
- 硬化時間が短すぎる
①塗る前にジェルを混ぜていない
ジェルは沈殿や分離するのを防ぐため、爪に塗る前にしっかり混ぜておかないといけません。
この混ぜる作業を怠ると、ベースコートを塗ったときうまく固まらないという現象が起きてしまいます。
また、事前にジェルを混ぜておかないと発色が悪くなったり色むらの原因になったりで悪いことだらけです。
そのため、プロのネイリストなら専用のスパチュラを購入し、気泡ができない程度にしっかりジェルを混ぜておきましょう。
②塗る量が多すぎる
一度に塗る量が多すぎても、ベースコートはうまく固まらずペタペタした仕上がりになってしまいます。
当然、ジェルの量が多すぎると厚みが出てライトで硬化してもまんべんなく固まりません。
基本的にジェルのメーカー・ブランドは違っても、一度に塗る量は筆の約1/3くらいです。
とはいえ、推奨されている量には多少違いがあるので、使用前にしっかり説明書や注意事項を読んでおきましょう。
③硬化時間が短すぎる
ライトによる硬化時間が短すぎると、ベースコートがよれやすくなり表面に凹凸ができてしまいます。
基本的にベースコートは硬化時間長めの商品が多いので、カラージェルと間違えて硬化時間の設定を短くしないよう注意してください。
また、ライトを当てる際は指の角度にも注意が必要です。
特に親指はライトの中で下向きになる可能性があるので、ベースコートをうまく固めるためお客様にはしっかり注意喚起しておきましょう。
二度塗りOK？ベースジェルの正しい塗り方をおさらい
ネイルサロンに取り入れたいベースジェル・ベースコートが決まったら、正しい塗り方・施術の手順をおさらいしておきましょう。
ベースコートの正しい塗り方は以下の通りです。
- サンディングで下処理を済ませる
- ベースコートを筆の1/3程度の量付ける
- ベースコートを爪の真ん中に乗せる
- ベースコートを筆で押さえるように伸ばしていく
- 筆の角度を変えて両端まで綺麗に塗る
前述したように、ベースコートは一度に塗る量が多すぎるとうまく固まらずカラージェル・トップジェルの馴染みも悪くなってしまいます。
そのため、筆にベースをたっぷり乗せず1/3程度・もしくはそれ以下の少ない量で塗っていきましょう。
また、ベースコートは爪の中央部分に乗せてから全体に広げていくイメージで塗ればむらなく綺麗に仕上がります。
ベースコートも？ジェルは基本的に二度塗りが良い！
新人ネイリストのなかには、ベースジェル・ベースコートを二度塗りしてもいいの？と、素朴な疑問を持っている人はいるはずです。
結論から言うと、ジェルは基本的に二度塗りの方が綺麗に仕上がるので、ベースコートも二度塗りしてOK。
ただし、ベースコートが分厚くなると上に塗るカラージェルの重ね塗りができなくなるので要注意です。
カラージェルは二度・三度と重ね塗りをして色の濃さを調整できるので、あくまでもベースコートは薄塗りのルールを守って使用してくださいね。
