そもそもジェルは重ねれば強度が増すわけではないので、自爪のコンディションによってはソフトジェルがすぐに剝がれてしまう可能性があります。
とは言え、ソフトジェルはナチュラルに長さ出しができてオフも楽なので、初めてジェルネイルで長さ出しをしたいというお客様には、まずソフトジェルをおすすめしてみましょう。
長さ出しに使用するジェル②ハードジェル
ハードジェルはソフトジェルほど柔軟性がない反面、強度があるので1cmほどの長さ出しも可能です。
そのため、ストーンやパーツなどを乗せても剝がれにくく、硬さがあるので手をぶつけても簡単にネイルが崩れません。
ただし、ハードジェルはソフトジェルに比べオフするのにかなりの時間がかかります。
ハードジェルはアセトン溶剤で溶けない成分なので、オフの際はファイルで削るしかありません。

まずはネイルフォームを使ったジェルネイルの長さ出しを解説します。
ネイルフォームで長さ出しをするときは、念のため眉用の小さなハサミも用意しておきましょう。
やり方の手順は下記の通りです。
- ニッパーで自爪を短くカットする
- ファイルやバッファーで爪の表面を整える
- メタルプッシャーで甘皮を処理する
- クレンザー等で爪の油分・ダストを拭き取る
- ベースジェルを塗りUVライトorLEDライトで硬化する
- ネイルフォームを爪に合わせて当てる
※合わない場合は眉ハサミでフォームをカットし爪に合わせる - ネイルフォームにクリアジェルを塗る
- ネイルフォームと爪の境目にクリアジェルを塗る
※爪の先端までジェルを伸ばすように塗る - UVライトorLEDライトで半硬化する
- 爪全体にクリアジェルを塗り再びUVライトorLEDライトで硬化する
- ネイルフォームを外す
- 硬化してないジェル（未硬化ジェル）をクレンザー等で拭き取る
- ファイルやバッファーで爪の表面を整える
それでは、ネイルフォームを使った長さ出しの手順を詳しく説明していきます。
①ニッパーで自爪を短くカットする
自爪が欠けてしまった場合、まずはニッパーで爪の先端にできた凹凸をカットしましょう。
爪切りを使うと、さらに爪が折れてしまったり2枚爪になったりする可能性があるので避けた方が無難です。
②ファイルやバッファーで爪の表面を整える
爪をカットしたら、ファイルで凹凸を滑らかにする「バッフィング」を、バッファーでジェルとの密着度を上げるための「サンディング」を行います。
③メタルプッシャーで甘皮を処理する
続いて、メタルプッシャーを使い甘皮を処理しますが、甘皮を取りすぎると炎症を起こす可能性が高いです。
そのため、1週間以上甘皮の処理をしていないお客様に限定して処理するようにしてください。
④クレンザー等で爪の油分・ダストを拭き取る
続けて、爪の油分やサンディングで出たダストをクレンザー等で拭き取ります。
ここまでが通常のジェルネイルの施術と同じ下準備の手順です。
⑤ベースジェルを塗りUVライトorLEDライトで硬化
ネイルフォームを付ける前に、自爪だけの状態でベースジェルを塗りライトで硬化します。
⑥ネイルフォームを爪に合わせて当てる
ベースジェルが硬化したら、ネイルフォームを爪に合わせて装着させます。
ネイルフォームが爪に合わない場合は、イエローライン（ピンク色と白色の境目）に合わせてフォームをカットしましょう。
眉ハサミを使えば微調整しながらカットできるので、爪の形にフィットするまで何度も切り直して大丈夫です。
ネイルフォームを装着させたら、上下左右と角度を変えながら見て全体的にゆがみがないか念入りにチェックしておいてください。
⑦ネイルフォームにクリアジェルを塗る
続いて、ネイルフォームの上にクリアジェルを塗っていきます。
ネイルフォームは爪の延長上にガイドが付いているので、長さを出したいところまで厚塗りにならないようにジェルを塗りましょう。
⑧ネイルフォームと爪の境目にクリアジェルを塗る
次にネイルフォームと爪の境目に多めのジェルを落として塗り広げます。
爪の境目からスタートさせ、均一にジェルを広げながら爪の先端まで伸ばすように塗るのがポイントです。
⑨UVライトorLEDライトで半硬化する
ジェルの形を整えるため、一旦ライトで半硬化（5秒ほど）します。
⑩爪全体にクリアジェルを塗り再びUVライトorLEDライトで硬化する
半硬化後、爪全体にジェルを塗って再度硬化させます。
ジェルが厚すぎるとライトを当てたとき爪が熱くなる可能性があるので、薄めにジェルを塗り数回にわけて硬化するのもおすすめのやり方です。
⑪ネイルフォームを外す
十分な厚みが出たらネイルフォームを取り外します。
無理やり剥がすのではなく、ジェルが折れないよう爪の下に向かって優しく外すようにしましょう。
⑫硬化してないジェル（未硬化ジェル）をクレンザー等で拭き取る
ライトを当てても十分硬化していないジェル（未硬化ジェル）が残っているので、クレンザー等できれいに拭き取ってください。
⑬ファイルやバッファーで爪の表面を整えて完成
仕上げに「バッフィング」と「サンディング」を行い、ネイルフォームを使った長さを出し完成です。
長さ出しのやり方②チップフォーム編
続いて、チップフォームを使ったジェルネイルの長さ出しを解説します。
基本的にネイルフォームを使うときと同じ道具が必要ですが、チップフォームを使う場合はトップジェルを用意しておいてください。
トップジェルとしても使えるクリアジェルなら同じもので問題ありません。
やり方の手順は下記の通りです。
- ニッパーで自爪を短くカットする
- ファイルやバッファーで爪の表面を整える
- メタルプッシャーで甘皮を処理する
- クレンザー等で爪の油分・ダストを拭き取る
- ベースジェルを塗りUVライトorLEDライトで硬化する
- 自爪にトップジェルを塗る
- チップフォームの内側にトップジェルを塗る
※長さを出したい範囲まで塗る - チップフォームを爪にはめUVライトorLEDライトで硬化する
- チップフォームを外す
- ファイルやバッファーで爪の表面・先端を整えて完成
※強度が欲しい場合はさらにトップジェルを塗って硬化する
それでは、チップフォームを使った長さ出しの手順を詳しく説明していきます。
①～⑤ネイルフォームと同様
①～⑤の手順はネイルフォームと同じなので割愛します。
⑥自爪にトップジェルを塗る
ベースジェルが硬化したら、トップジェルを爪全体に塗っていきます。
トップジェルは爪の際まで丁寧に塗ってください。
⑦チップフォームの内側にトップジェルを塗る
続いて、チップフォームの内側にもトップジェルを塗ります。
チップフォームと爪がしっかり密着するよう、チップのカーブしている面は多めにトップジェルを塗りましょう。
⑧チップフォームを爪にはめUVライトorLEDライトで硬化する
トップジェルを塗ったら、チップフォームを爪にはめライトで硬化します。
チップフォームは強く押しすぎるとジェルがよれてしまうので、爪の上に優しくのせるよう注意してください。
⑨チップフォームを外す
硬化できたらチップフォームを外しますが、力尽くで外そうとすると硬化していてもジェルが折れてしまうので注意が必要です。
ポイントはチップの根元を押さえて左右に動かしながら外すこと。
⑩ファイルやバッファーで爪の表面・先端を整えて完成
仕上げに表面や先端の凹凸を整え、チップフォームを使った長さ出しは完成です。
「強度が足りない…」と感じたら、上からトップジェルを塗りもう一度硬化することで強度を上げることができますよ。
フォームなし派必見！ジェルの長さ出しはティッシュでもできる？
ネイルフォームとチップフォーム、それぞれのジェルの長さ出しのやり方を解説しましたが「ネイルフォームは難しい…」「チップ以外のやり方はないの？」と思っている人もいるはずです。
そこでここからはフォームなし派必見の、ティッシュを使ったジェルの長さ出しについて解説します。
ティッシュを使ったジェルの長さ出しのやり方は下記の通りです。
- ニッパーで自爪を短くカットする
- ファイルやバッファーで爪の表面を整える
- メタルプッシャーで甘皮を処理する
- クレンザー等で爪の油分・ダストを拭き取る
- ティッシュを爪の形に合わせてカットする
- ベースジェルを爪に塗る
- 硬化する前にティッシュを爪に合わせて置く
- 爪とティッシュを覆うようにベースジェルを塗る
※塗りにくいときは半硬化する - UVライトorLEDライトで硬化する
- 全体にトップジェルを塗り再度UVライトorLEDライトで硬化する

ティッシュでジェルの長さ出しをするときのコツは？
フォームではなく、ティッシュを使って長さ出しをするときのポイントは下記の通りです。
- ティッシュの切り方
- トップジェルの種類
まず、家庭用のティッシュは2枚重ねになっていることがほとんどですが、フォーム代わりとして使うときは1枚にして爪に貼り付けましょう。
ティッシュをカットする際は、自爪の横幅よりやや小さめに切るのがポイントです。
自爪よりティッシュが小さいとジェルで微調整しやすいので、ベースジェルを塗る前にしっかり形を決めておきましょう。
そして、ティッシュを使った長さ出しで使用するトップジェルはハードジェルがおすすめ。
柔らかいティッシュの上に粘度の低いソフトジェルを塗ると、液が流れやすく強度が出ない可能性があります。
そのため、しっかり固まるハードジェルの方がティッシュを使った長さ出しには向いている、という訳です。
